I loaned my copy of Kavalier & Clay to an artist friend that crashed with me back in March, and I hope he appreciates it! It's such a wonderful read. He has serious, almost crippling ADD, so I wonder if he'll enjoy it. He gave me a graphic novel that I enjoyed very much.

Fresh cilantro is one of the best smells, ever. My grandmother makes a delicious marinade with it that suffuses the house with its wonderful, pungent odor, so it always reminds me of her. It's delicious on roasted corn, and a million other things.

You're lucky to have a garden! I miss gardening back home, even though I was awful at it, and I find myself looking at "plant porn" (catalogs) a lot lately.

Those dogs sound lucky to have you guys taking them out on adventures like that.
