ok fucking hell!
I mean...shit! what more do these people want!?!?!
ok...this is the story: we are back from Cuba. We are deactivated. well...most of us are. a few of us are kept on active duty to work at the Reserve Center until Jan 30th...and guess who is one of these. yup. so I am still on active duty. now I wouldn't mind this all too much except for a few things. The unit is in Austin. my apt is in San Antonio...that's an hour communte or so each way. And in 10 days the lease will run out on this apartment and I will be essentially homeless. so there is going to be a lot of wadering about and sleeping in the car and crashing with friends. I guess it's gypsy practice.
On the good side...I will make a considerable amount of money that can be used on impending road trips! woohoo! and it will keep me employed and busy until I go. so that's ok...it's gonna be an adventure.
in other news...I had a really really good week...
and today on the way home to San Antonio I stopped and bought myself my first ever cell phone! I used to think them insturments of the technocratic demons. and I still do...just agreed to lease off another piece of my soul. so I will be homeless, but I'll have my car, my laptop, and this nifty cellphone. it'll also be good for when I am on my roadtrips. so...that's all the news that's fit to print.
