Worked an AK-47 range today. The students are ok shots at 30 yards (scoff) but they have a LOT to learn about weapons handling and safety. Never felt so in danger as when they spin around on the line with their safety off and finger on the trigger. ugh. spending most of my free time listening to the rain, drinking coffee, studying Dari, and reading the Count of Monte Cristo..

I used to carry one of those ingenious devices with me backpacking. SOOOOO worth it...
