Long day at work. Listened as much as I could on the radio to the election coverage and lucked out in that the last house that I worked at tonight belonged to an Obama supporter, so I stood around and watched PBS coverage with her and her family. And the incomparable infinitelykaty kept me up to date on everything from flipped states to free chikfila and starbucks for voters (alas my work did not allow me to take advantage of free coffees, ice creams, or chikin). I'm really happy about the way the election turned out. FAR better than I could have expected. The electoral vote will be a landslide ("mudaslidah!" as Hiro Nakamura would say). but the popular vote will still be fairly close. In any case, while I was okay with either of these two candidates...much more so than I've been in the past...well pretty much ever since I have been able to vote...I think the country is much better off with Obama as president.
