I've been working on a lot of interesting houses lately, design-wise. And I've been wanting to take more photos so that I can keep my hand in even when I didn't really have time for photo taking excursions. So, I took my camera with me to work today. Just a little Olympus 6mp point and shoot.
and it got stolen.
within four hours. I must have been inside working on the a/c system at a not so very interesting house. The camera was sitting in a little leather case on the passenger seat of my work truck. I didn't even realize it was gone, or that the passenger side door was unlocked until lunch time when I reached over to grab it and see what old photos were on the memory card.
SUCK.
I'm pissed about it...well as pissed as I get about anything. At least I didn't actually pay for the camera. it was free, but the 4 memory cards that were in the case with it were NOT free. nor were the two extra batteries. fuck.
ah well. this gives me the impetus to buy a new camera like I've been dying to do. Too bad they all cost upwards of $500. I could probably afford it, but..for that price...I could also have a five day vacation somewhere.
I did get my new motorcycle boots today in the mail. I've been desperatly needing some since my old Alpinestars ones were worn down at the heel and not holding together so great. It'll probably still be a while before I toss them out. they are so very comfortable.
Summer here in Central Texas, for me anyway, means going down to the Comal River. We rent some innertubes, grab some beverages, and float down about three miles of spring fed waterway. It's great fun. There are large sections of the river that are more than deep enough to swim in and it's sort of a party atmosphere. I went a few weekends ago with some of my best friends. I managed to get the pictures from that.

so much for feeling sorry for myself. I just bought me an Olympus Evolt-410 with a decent Zuiko 14-42mm lens.
I love tubing/rafting on the river but we've had so much rain here the rivers are all muddy and overflowing.
