figure it's time for a new post. nothing much going on though. just lots of work. which is good in that I can work my ass off to save up for some traveling later on down the...road. ehr.
anyway...someone told me that they didn't believe me when I joke that I am a total magazine whore/addict.
so...here's the list.
Motorcycle magazines:
Rider
Motorcyclst (my favorite of the bunch)

ESPN (I don't want this one, but FHM went under and it's what they send me in lieu of it. Ha I have the first ever and last ever printed FHM magazines...but not nearly all the ones in between)

Harper's
Foreign Policy Quarterly
Foreign Affairs
World Policy Journal
and I get a couple of travel mags too.
it's freakin' ridiculous. I plan to cut back soon...especially on the motorcycle magazines...but when they send you those little cards that tell you you can get a year's subscription for $10....
anyway...I may not buy more than one pair of shoes a year (just bought motorcycle boots. I'm done) but I'll purchase the hell outta some magazines. I don't buy at the stand, though...unless I am travelling.
so work. basically I work six days a week now. I managed to luck into not working many weekends for a while, but no longer. the way it operates is that they have us techs on teams of 4 and every 4 days our team is on call for after hours "emergency" (ie rich muthafucker's a/c has gone out and he wants it back on NOW) requests. (I love that..."requests"). if your team's day falls on a weekend or holiday, then you work the normal 7am-7pm day AND then stay on call for the after hours stuff. Looking at my calender I've got a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday pretty much through the rest of the summer. add to that I plan to rejoin the drilling Marine Corps Reserves in a couple months....and that sucking sound you hear is all my free time going down the drain.
but that's how I do. save it all up for some kickass trip later on. trying to decide where to go. I want to take a short trip somewhere stateside...a long weekend...to either New Orleans, DC, or maybe Seattle ( I really wish we could find a way to get those cities in the same state). and then a longer trip in the winter...haven't decided...Carribbean? South America? or mayhap back to Eastern Europe...depends on airline prices...
so yeah...that's my ramble.
will have some more photos up of trips to the river and 4th of July weekend madness...soonish.
