It seems no matter how old either of us get, I'm never going to consistanly beat my father at pool. And that's entirely cool with me. It was good to see him up and out of the house after 14 months of being a shut in. As far as anyone can tell, the cancer is gone...now if he can just survive the rehab.

Good weekend all things considered. Got dragged out to a late showing of You Dont Mess with the Zohan last night. the movie was fucking ridiculous. It had lots of funny moments, but it was so over the top....it's like they were reaching and reaching and reaching. it reminded me of when the coyote runs off of the edge of the cliff in pursuit of the roadrunner. and...I know it's just a movie...but the playing hackey sack with cats bit got on my nerves a little.
but I did certainly laugh.

Also got to spend quite a bit of time with the father, which I haven't been able to do too much of since work got hellaciously busy a month ago. AND lots of motorcycle riding in, though it was mostly on the highway up here to San Antonio. Summer is definitely here. fucking hot 100 degree days. need to go to the river soon with an intertube, some pre-mixed whiskey and cokes, and some sunglasses.
