GREETINGS FROM THE MOON!
just kidding. I'm not really on the moon. But I am in Budapest....finally, it feels like. The flights actually went really well, but I spent a lot of time on planes. I managed to get aisle seats for both flights so that my legs didn't cramp up into pretzel shaped....legs.
anyhow. I'm not going to go all out and update everything just yet. I'm just making it so interested parties can know that i've made it here and I even managed to make it into Hungary this time without being pick pocketed. it seems avoiding Florence as a layover option remedied that?
Already been out looking at the castle and fisherman's bastion, which are my favorite vantage points of the city. the clerk has been very cool and reccommended a few bohem type bars at which to go and slake my thirst. should be fairly mellow and maybe I'll be able to avoid getting too drunk. I don't have to be on a train until late tomorrow afternoon, so as long as I can find my way back to the hostel....I should be good.
I had a great time in New York. So great, in fact, that I almost stayed over an extra day and missed my flight to Europe. that would have been....interesting. but I'll update on all that later...with full color photos!
