blew another power supply on the computer. be on more later on after I've retrofitted it with a newer one. perferably a 1.21 jigawatt one so I don't have this happen...again.
added 2 weeks later: turns out the power supply fried the board as well. turned it in to get it replaced by a local shop and they are now more than a week late getting it back to me. at this rate I'll be out of the country before it's ready. but all my preperationd for my trip are pretty much done.
I'll be in NYC for about four days in mid October and then flying out to Budapest. Only staying in Budapest for one crazy night and then hopping an overnight train to Romania. gonna spend most of my trip there...first in the capital and then a few days in the Transylvanian mountains on my way back to Budapest. then back to NYC for a few days. wish I could stay there for Halloween, but I'll have to leave a couple days short of it so I can get back to work.
and now I've gone and bought tickets to Puerto RIco for December
color me a traveling fool.
Had a rather windy ride down from Austin to San Antonio last night. spending the day with some friends and Katy at the zoo. so today...animals, good mexican food, and friends. then another hour or so motorcycle ride back up to Austin.
I'm addicted to Heroes season 1. I started getting the dvds from netflix this week and I really like the show. much more than I expected to. Of course, Katy's favorite is Hiro. I really like the story so far, but they need to tie the side story with Nikki, DL, and their kid into the main storyline soon...it's just sorta hanging out there on the side and it's getting a little annoying.
