good news: my dad got through the surgery to cut out the cancer allright. He was in a lot of pain immediatly after, but we've you've been effectivlely disembowled and put back together again, that's to be expected. He'll be in the hospital for a while recovering. All we are waiting on now is the biopsy of the lymphnodes around the cancer to make sure it didn't spread and become lymphoma. It didn't appear to have, but we'll know for sure later today.

bad news: both of the wisdom teeth that the Navy/MarineCorps saw fit to leave in my mouth (they pulled the left two, but left the right two in ) are BOTH giving me serious issues. a large filling in the upper fell out and now the tooth is hypersensitive...and the lower one is crushing the tooth next to it between itself and a crown two teeth over. fucking hurts. Looks like I'll have to miss even more work than I already have to get them extracted.


added tues evening- turns out the pain was all coming from the top wisdom tooth. Had it taken out this afternoon. that was interesting. couldn't take any pain meds until I got home because I had to drive myself, but the dentist numbed the area up pretty well so I didn't feel too much during the procedure. so this evening has been spent laying in bed with Katy watching Hot Fuzz (hilarious...and more than a bit weird...sorta Scooby Doo meets Slasher flick meets Lethal Weapon meets Mel Brooks comedy...sorta)
and all I've been allowed to consume is my vicodin (yay!) and Wendy's frosty (yay!) and nothing (booooooo!)
