a heavy downpour has nixed my plans for a holiday weekend motorcycle ride to the river or hill country. so, instead I have the music cranked up loud and I am drinking Montepulciano in a cracked wine glass and cleaning up the apartment a bit. Ico is helping as best he can by attacking my feet and running about like a madman.


Watched The Proposition last night. It was a bit gruesome, but the tension was managed well. It was a decent Western, but it didn't really seem to have much of a point. certainly no redemption in it....more than a little amount of retribution, but none of it really seemed to supply justice. maybe that was the point of it.
in any case. I've got The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes sitting here. I'll probably watch it later if this weather doesn't let up.

I...think...I've bought my tickets for my trip in October. The travel agency has yet to call me to confirm that they recieved the credit card authorization. but I sent it in, so hopefully they didn't screw it up.

so my travel plans have me in New York for a few days in mid October for a friend's gallary opening. Then I fly off to Budapest for a week and a half. I am really hoping to only spend a couple days there and then catch a train to Romania to see Brasov in Transylvania and Bucharest before heading back. should be a good trip.

other than that...the usual. clocked almost 70 hours at work this week, so a bit worn out.

gonna get back to cleaning and maybe some lazy movie watching and book reading.
