I'm filing today under "So much for THAT idea"
I haven't been able to go visit my father since he started his chemo and radiation last week. I was heading out earlier this morning. Taking the less used roads down towards San Antonio. I got about twenty miles outside of Austin when the 10% chance of rain turned into 100%. :/ a little rain is no big deal, but eventually I ended up under a bridge when it went from uncomfortable to just damn unsafe. I'll have to get a day off this week to make it down there I guess. I still talk to him everyday on the phone to see how he is doing, but I think a visit would go a long way in helping him deal with everything.
so anyway. I'm back in my apartment in dry clothes having a Guiness for lunch and enjoying some awesome chop-scholckiness that is Gymkata.
I believe it won the 1985 Oscar for "Badassary in a Martial Arts Film....involving Gymnastics.....and Mullets"
30th birthday came and went without any real big deal. still feels a lot like 29...hell like 27 actually.
did get some kickass stuff. AND got my tax return this week too. if I can get my good friend to get around to designing my next tattoo, then I may be able to get that done by the end of the month as well.

I'm not looking forward to my B-day coming up. Not because I think I am old, but because it takes me like 6 damn months to remember that I am no longer whatever age I was before adn by then I have to start preppin' myself for the next b-day... Sucks.
