Happy Lunar New Year, y'all.
It's been raining since late last night and all day today. Grey rainy dreary day, but not cold. I like it. Went out for coffee today, but that's about all I can afford to do until work gets busy again. I think I've worked maybe a total of seven days since the New Year. So lots of free time. and it has to be free cause I've got no money to spend. So I've basically been sitting around the apartment trying not to spend too much time on the internet or playing video games so that my brain doesn't melt.
reading quite a bit. mostly old Irish folk tales and histories and some Dickens and other assorted stuff. Trying to hold ground against the deterioration of any skills in Russian. I feel like I'm not getting any better without actual instruction or immersion. it's all I can do to retain what I've got from studying the language off and on for the last...jesus...fourteen years.
trying to figure out how this year is going to go. I need to make some kind of progress, either in my degree or towards an employment situation that doesn't feel...transitional. of course at the same time I want to spend as much time with Katy as I can and travel the world And get back into photography AND learn another language.
soooo anyway. Dreammaker infected my mind with this diseasse, so now I'm gonna foster it upon y'all... don't worry it's not as bad as that motorcycle video I put up earlier...
