Last night (this morning) I had to work the Twilight Midnight release party...let me assure you, even when I was a 14 year old girl I couldn't stand 14 year old girls, nothing has changed since then, lol.
All in all it went off a lot smoother than expected, the night went by quickly, a lot of little girls I actually do adore came in just to see me and get their movie from Me. It was cute, and they made my night.
After we closed the doors at 1 am, we had to set up stands to put the Twilight movies in, but we were missing pieces, and my boss was mad, so it stressed us all out. "How many Hot Topic employees does it take to put together a cardboard stand?" Answer..."As many as you've got".
At least that was the running joke at about 1:45 in the morning when we were all so frustrated with this thing and it's missing pieces that we just through it away.
Sadly I have to right back at work tonight...blegh. At least the night will seem super short compared to last night.
In fun news, I started going to Roller Derby practice for this new Rollergirl group in Greenville, it's pretty fun. I haven't skated in years, and never on Quads, but I picked it up again easily and will have little issue transitioning from in-lines to quads.
I'm off to relax before work, peace loves
