Here I am. I can barely move my left arm... or my right for that matter. My new job started monday. I am in pain. I will explain in detail (if anyone really wants to know) what I have been doing at the Fort after I soak in some Epsom salts, rub on some Cold Heat, and pop some advil. In the meantime, I shall take a page from CircusFreak's book, and create an illustrative journal, for I am too lazy to write, and you are too lazy to read in this heat.
I have been doing this for the last 2 days:
...and this:
...and then some of this...
...and a little bit of this:
and, oh ya, also some of this:
these are freaking heavy:
this really hurts:
these are hotter than the bowels of hell:
in this weather:
Aside from all that, it's not bad.
On an entirely different note, I just bought a pair of these:
and a bunch of this:
and I feel like this:
because I have no idea how to use any of it.
...and p.s. I will be around a little later to pop in on journals, as I have been remiss (sp? I'm too lazy to check) in doing so over the past few days. Please forgive.

I can sympathize with that all! I am in a piping band and we have to march around in our 1000 ton wool kilts in all weather and bagpipes aren't that light either! Do you actually have to fire the guns?? Sounds like a neat job, though. Better than being a lackey behind a desk.
Congrats on the PhD! Might as well do it now. I know lots of people who take like a decade to do it when they finally decide to in their 30's or 40's when they are already working, have families etc. What are you doing your degree in?
That was a long comment!
