After a long hiatus and weekend getaway to the great "O" Town of the Wild Wild North, I have returned.
No longer a Train Wreck, I have come to the irreconcilable conculsion that my neurons, serotonin metabolites, dopamine, and aging, out-of-shape body can't take brutalizing self-flaggellation in the name of Party any longer. I have henceforth called it quits.

I never get self-conscious about wearing heels until people (mostly guys) complaining about not being used to having a woman taller than them.
I actually got invited to go to the movies with someone last week and he asked me not to wear heels because he is five eight and not used to going out with a taller woman. Its a good thing he is a friend because I love skirts and dresses too much to just wear sneakers and jeans everyday.
I must admit that recently I buy less 5 inch heels (most of the ones I have are for the nightclub anyway) and look out for 3 1/2 or 4 inch. I actually have only one 3 inch heel and almost didn't buy it because it was too short but I loved the style. I wore it out and could not believe how comfortable it was lol
