Ever wonder where words originate? Here's one I stumbled across in my readings today:
"In September 1880, Captain Charles Boycott, a land agent for Lord Erne's estate in County Mayo [Ireland], refused to stop evicting tenants [from his land]. The [Irish National Land League] surrounded his lands and cut him off from agricultural labourers who could help him with his harvest. Boycott finally received help from Ulster Orangemen and a thousand army troops, and brought in his harvest. Boycott's name was soon used to describe economic ostracism."
Oh, Procrastination, how I adore, yet simultaneously loathe thee.
Tomorrow will be NIN-errific!
