Z and I rode in Messmann's Messquerade this past Saturday, the annual Halloween bike scavenger hunt. Freakin' great, aside from the fact that "all the beer you can drink" meant "all the PBR you can drink." I drink beer for its inherent goodness, not to get sloshed -- does that make me a snob? Otherwise, I had an incredible time. Crazy, well-attended bike events are infinitely entertaining.
Now I'm frantically trying to put together job applications -- some of the jobs I may be interested in have deadlines at the end of this month. Writing a CV is annoyingly difficult; I hope the research and teaching statements are easier.
