holy crap, i should have taken pictures of this surgery we had yesterday. i guess this dog was jumping off of a front porch and managed to catch himself on a fence post. i think the laceration was about 14inches in length and branched off a couple of inches in various directions. after 50 or 60 sutures, he looks a lot better, but is still rather painful. but, i think the morphine and fentanyl patch will take care of that problem.
not much else is going on. hopefully on my days off i'll go skating again. i had forgotten how much fun it could be. now if snowboarding season would get here, life would be perfect. though, i need a new board and my season pass is close to $400. so, to ride this year will cost about a grand. not something i'm looking forward TWO (

well, that's about it. i'm going to take my dog for a walk now and then eat breakfast. talk to you later.

work update: last night we had two pit bulls come in because they had decided it was a good idea to fight. well, not really fight, one just beat the shit out of the other. the smaller one (the male) had a so many puncture wounds that i lost count. luckily they weren't too bad. well, the one over the eye that created a nice hole in the eye lid. it was gross watching the flush go through the other side. the female wasn't too bad, just a few defensive wounds. i hate nice days, because that means people are hiking with their animals (lacerations, breaks, rattle snake bites) or taking them to the dog parks (dog fights). stupid nice weather.
