I've been hella busy lately, so a long update is due.
Let's see.
Last Thursday I saw Michael Glabicki from Rusted Root at the Colosseum in Mokena. I've seen them twice (not including his solo) and I'm going again in a couple weeks. I don't care what music u like- they put on a fuggin amazing show. Me and my good friend Dav drank a bit too much and fell asleep at Denny's. Oops...
Friday I received some very not fun phone call from a police officer while I was working informing me my car was involved in a hit and run. This is bullshit. I'm pleading not guilty. I'll keep ya informed.
Saturday I ran my ass off getting tires for the car for the Nashville trip, doing all the last minute bday shopping, getting tattooed with the wifey, and workin.

Sunday was Covins party. She had so much fun- the little girls were all so adorable.

Monday was her actual birthday, so I hung around with her until bedtime, then me n Crystal took off in the snow towards Tennessee. Everything was fine despite the snowstorm- we got there on time around 6 AM. Then not 20 miles from our hotel we were stuck. 4 hours we sat in my car, cuz people in Tennessee DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE! 200 accidents on one stretch of a highway. Cuz of an inch of snow. Good god.

One great thing about the state...
After finally checkin in, being disappointed there was no hot tub, and watching a movie we passed out for a few hours. Then we woke up, showered, ate Sonic, kinda got lost in a Nashville ghetto, then went to the show. Here we learned that the only thing for young people to do there is get drunk and act stupid. And oh how they did. I have never been more entertained by the drunken antics of a crowd. One random short kid came up to us out of nowhere and said "someone asked me yesterday if my feet dangle when I sit on the toilet." Then he giggled and walked away.
The first band was Confliction all the way from South Carolina. They fuckin rocked, and were WAY friendly to me n Crystal.

Next was the band we went to see. From Tallahassee, Florida came Presence. You SO need to check em out. Go buy the cd- theres a new one comin soon. Presence Official Site
DJ is bad as hell- also plays bass with Lennon. And is a sweetheart.

A band called Ligion Ligion Official Site headlined, and were amazing, but we were too distracted at the time to take pictures for some reason.
After the show we somehow ended up here with the boys instead of a strip club... Bar Nashville- how creative. But thoroughly entertaining.

A giant scary cross at an exit where we stopped to get gas. The best part was the sign "THE CROSS. Truckers welcome."
So the trip was short, but awesome, and it was so nice to be anywhere but here. Now we move on to the rest of our list of things to do this year- I believe firehooping is next...
