My mini vacation was awesome. I had so much fun!
St. Maarten was a lot of fun. I was a bit surprised by the island though. Eveyone talks about how awesome the French side of the island is and how great the shopping is but I really enjoyed the Dutch side. The people were so friendly it was insane. Both side of the island are very Americanized though. Most people speak English and the island uses the U.S. Dollar as currency. The Boardwalk in Philipsburg was where I spent alot of time walking around, shopping and watching cricket at the Oualichi Beach Bar. The bar staff were all amazingly beautiful French women. I felt a little plain looking.
St. Kitts was gorgeous. I was very impressed by the beauty of this island. My boyfriend and I stayed at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino in a nice spacious villa. I slept on the most comfortable EVER. It felt like I was sleeping on clouds. I loved it!
The Cricket World Cup was so much fun! South Africa lost so it was a little sad. My boyfriend was depressed afterwards but I had a great time. That was my first live cricket match so I was just happy to be there.
Even though our trip was a short one it was so amazing. I will be visiting St. Kitts again.
