The only society I'm a part of is the NCN, or National Caricaturists Netwrk, which consists of about 500 or so of us caricature artist(or former in my case), world wide. We have a convention every year-this year, it fell on the same week as inventory at work-so i was unable to go. This was the rough week I was referring to in my journal.
