First, the praise that Bush Sr. is getting disgusts me. This guy said of atheists while campaign stumping in Chicago in ‘87 that we are “neither patriots nor citizens.” On top of that, this creep has been accused of sexually assaulting women. His method would be when taking pictures, he would grab a woman’s butt when the shutter went off, usually setting it up with “Do you know who my favorite magician is? David Cop-a-feel.” I don’t give a fuck about his heroic deeds in WWII, this fucker continuously supported legislation that suppressed POC and was one of the architects of stigmatizing marijuana. Fuck him!
Now, at his funeral, Orange attended and is being praised for his behavior. It’s sad that this is what’s being praised: that he didn’t lash out during the funeral or bust out his phine to tweet. However, his body language highly suggested he didn’t want to be there, considering he was sitting next to a man whom he questioned his citizenship, a woman whom his wife copies everything from, a man he accused of sexually assaulting women (despite his own accusations), a woman he wants to put in prison, and a POTUS he touted as second-worst behind Obama.
The irony was very compelling, to say the least.
