Atheists are the most morale-centered people, in my opinion. Am I being biased? I don't think so. We don't have a god to appease for life after death and most of us see humanity as a priority, first. If you say to yourself, "I do it anyway, regardless of what my god says," then you don't need your religion. Your religion's job is to extort as much money from you with tithes as possible, and it's usually disguised with "donate for God" or "for the good of the church."
