Well, It's been a week since I told you that I'd post pictures. Now is the time that I quit procrastinating.... biggrin Actually I really have been busy. Been to a bachelorette party friday night (pictures to come later) and been working overtime all week since I've been back. But enough of the small talk!!
Here it goes:

This is what most of my trip consisted of>>
...and this is where I lived for two weeks>>
I will give this one piece of advice to you all: If you have never been on a road trip of your own, go now! Go now while you can leave everything behind and blow all your savings and live in your car. This was one of the most gratifying experiences of my life.
Utah was grand, and they really mean it when they say things like: 'Big Sky country' to describe the west!
Lake Powell
...I went through the desert on a horse with no name...I also got to do stuff like this^^ This ia Antelope Canyon, one of the most photographed slot canyons in the world. Also one of the most accessable. It's in the Navajo Nation in Arizona... We also (Honcho and I) Went to alot of National Parks. So, if you plan on doing the same look into a parks pass. We saved so much m,oney on the entrance fees!! Bryce Canyon National Park was my favorite:The switchbacks there don't fuck around! So, from Utah we made our way to Vegas where we happened upon the SuperCross Grand Nationals... So, of course I had to get tickets to the sold out event. Well, worth the over price though!! I got to see and meet some of my favorite riders... Getting to attend the Nationals was like getting to go to the Super Bowl for me:

And Vegas... Well, we'll just say that it's a photographers dream sometimes. There seemed like no end to the amazing stuff there. And I got to go see the Blue Man Group!! tongue They preformed @ the Venetian... This is inside the hotel: And this was just part of the one night that we satyed there: We also stopped in at the Great Sand Dunes National Park on our way our through Colorado... And yes folks, that huge mountian you see before you is all sand!

Random Visions:

I hope that you all enjoyed my vacation as much as me! And just as a side note, I've had to delete some of the pics out of my older journal entries so I could fit in all of these so I apologise for that. robot

Very sweet do you need permission to go to Antelope Canyon? That's on my list of things to see. Very cool photos! I just do the photography for fun... U? If you resize your photos at 500px wide they'll crop right 400px wide if you're going to post the image in a comment. Thanks for the journal recommendations they were good except I guess Zip is gone... Peace out!

thanks for the info. now at least i have a idea of what to look forward to and what to pack. its been a few years since i was out there and i wasnt into photography at the time so i wasnt looking at all the shooting conditions and light levels. my canon 20d and a few small lenses should do the trick.

iso is your "film speed"
you know when you buy film or something it always has a number on it, something like 100 or 400. you use the slower speeds like 50 and 100 for bright sunny days or when you want to slow the shutter down at night and make the cars headlights streak. also with a slower speed your picture will be real clear.

400 speed is average normal use and speeds 1600 and 3200 are for very low light or when you cant use a flash or dont have a tripod and still need to hand hold the camera without blurring the pics but the only downfall is that high speed films are sometimes grainy and may not allow you to make a clear enlargment like a 8X10.

i rode the roller coaster at new york. that thing gave me the worst headache and damn near whiplash
