The past two weeks were hell! skull

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
After the embryos were transferred on the 11th, I was booked off sick for two weeks so that I can relax and not work myself to death while trying to conceive.

The doctor scheduled me for a beta hCG yesterday, but the result was negative frown

All is not lost, however, since I have not yet started my period smile

How it works, is the two embryos that were transferred directly into my uterus, will float around for around 3 days before they should start to implant in the uterus lining. This process should then be complete around 10 days after wards. The hCG levels will then start rising as early as 2 days after successful implantation of the embryo(s).

I had my pregnancy test on exactly day 10 after the transfer, which is probably about 5 days too soon for a conclusive result. My result was 1.7 and anything over 5 is seen as a positive. The hCG levels should then double every 48-72 hours. So, if I did the test about 5 days too soon, it means that, if implantation was indeed successful, my hCG levels could be around 6.8 on Thursday. That is of course if I don't get my period, which is due tomorrow ...

I had some of the signs of successful implantation:

1. Light period-like cramping for the past two days; and
2. Very light spotting since last night.

These are both signs of possible positive implantation.

So, I've bought a home pregnancy test that I will do on Friday morning, if my period has not started before then.

I am praying that I will be able to start following the progress of my baby's growth soon.
