Well our new years was pretty much junk. Maybe except the last part... but I'll get to that!
We left our house just after our midnight kiss and started on our 1.5 hour journal up island. Got there and sat around bored for awhile until it was daveys turn on the decks. His slot got pushed back and cut a half an hour so that was a bit of a piss off to start with.
Saw a lot of people, most of them high as kites or bored as fuck. Drank a beer and danced to some awesome kenzie and matt style electro. Matt even played some ac/dc! I had to keep running between two rooms because davey was playing in the other one.
I wasn't really surprised when the lights went on at 4am and they told the djs to turn off the music and everyone to get out. They claimed there was a fight outside and the cops shut 'er down but I call bullshit. That always happens. They just make up some excuse to make it look like it was an accident but it was really planned to only be open until 4. That way the promoter can lure people into paying a higher price for their ticket thinking they are getting said amount of hours worth or whatever. meh. I could care less. I was just glad to get out of there. It wasn't fair that davey got shafted out of his playing time that he spent quite a few hours practicing for and he got shorted on his pay too!
Aaaanywayz.... we went to this after party at my friend ahlias house. Stayed for about 20 minutes and headed home on our 1.5 hour drive that ended up being over 2 hours because it was SNOWING!! Yes, that's right, SNOWING! It was practically a blizzard on the malahat! It was a bit scary driving in it because I'm not very used to the new car and all but it was fun and we made it home. Now Davis is in bed and my tummy is all warm and full of tomato soup and toast so I must go join him between our lovely fleece sheets (you really should all get some of these magical things!).

I need a part-time job because I'm doing school full-time, actually. But thanks anyway! I live in that area now, too, so it would've been perfect if I needed more hours.
