holy christmas

as always, a lovely holiday spent with my family.

I stayed home from work on thur/fri because I was very sick and it gave me a chance to finish my crafts. I made my mom this big lighted wreath to go above her table and I made sally from nightmare before xmas pillows for my sisters. I forgot to take a picture of the pillows though. They really liked them anyway.

We went up to my parents house in cobble hill on xmas eve and we drank white russians and laughed a lot. My brother had this huge wooden pipe his friend made him so we went out and smoked some pot. My mom and I stayed up till 7:30 am wrapping presents. We were both sick and sooo tired but we got it all done and went to bed finally. Got up around 12:30, made breakfast and then we started unwrapping the mountain of presents.

My mom is crazy. She always goes way overboard with xmas and worries that she hasn't bought enough things for everyone. It's kind of silly really since she probably spent over $1,000 on each of us.

Davey got a HUGE remote control monster truck! It's awesome and our cats hate it! haha. I gave him a shirt with conky from trailer park boys on it and a final fantasy game he wanted. Also, an exploding golf ball so we can get kicked off some schmancy pancy course in the spring!

I will try to type down everything I got. It will be hard.

-knife/spoon/fork set that goes in this little basket for davey and i

-chopsticks that look like a giant clothespin because i can't use real ones

-the most fabulous yellow fleece sheets ever that make me never want to get out of bed

-a cheese string in my stocking from my dad (WTF?)

-a beautiful grey long jacket with red and zebra lining

I told my mom I wanted a chihuahua so I could carry it around in a little case like paris hilton so she got me a little stuffed dog that has a little carrier and it says 'tink' on it! so funny!

Davey got me a really nice red purse, a bag of lindt chocolates (Mmmmmmmmmm), my most favorite perfume ever with a little gift set of other perfumes, the sweetest little piggy bank so I can save money to give to the s.p.c.a. (aww!) and an archie comic <3 My mom got me the same perfume as davey as well so i have TWO now! wooo

I strangely enough didn't get the pink mixer I was so sure I was getting. I feel bad. I guess my mom took me seriously when I said I didn't want the pink one because my cousin has it at thanksgiving and she took it back. I hope she wasn't upset =/

I have this weird lump kind of in the spot where my leg joins my torso. It hurts and I'm afraid =/

We went to visit daveys dad and then went to his moms house for dinner. It was fun. We found out that his mom has a crush on usher! haha awesome. Then we ate yummy xmas dinner, opened presents and then we went home to feed our kitties and haul our presents upstairs. It took 3 or 4 trips.

Then I headed back up island to my parents house again for another dinner while davey stayed home and tortured the cats out in the hall with his monster truck. I spent a lot of time with my family talking and my mom pulled out these baby books for anne-marie that shows everything to do with being pregnant and giving birth. Some of the pictures were pretty graphic and gross but still interesting. I saw the ultrasound pictures for the first time of their baby. It was pretty neat. I'm excited to be an auntie in march! Anyway, it turned into my mom telling stories about us as babies. She said when I was two I could barely talk but I told her that I was somebody elses little girl and then I died and became her little girl and I even told her my name. She couldn't remember and wishes she wrote it down but she was in such shock. It's kind of crazy.

Dinner was good. My mom made me my own stuffing as usual and we had these awesome rudolph the red nosed reindeer christmas crackers with really neat toys in them. I got this little pinball game with the bumble on it! I saved a few of the crackers to make something out of. Not sure what yet. I drove home around 1:30 and crawled into our fabulously fleecy sheeted bed with my sweet boy. I didn't get up until 12:30 because I was so comfy.

Tonight davey is playing at hush for a little while so I guess we will be going out. My back has been hurting me a lot the last few days, especially at night, so hopefully it isn't too bad. My mom thinks I have a 'back flu' whatever that means. I don't really understand myself.

Back to work on wednesday unfortunately but it's only for a few days and then it's new years and another 2 days off.
