The world seems still with no sign of moving, and in my silence I can hear everything around me. The society around me so mechanical marching on like robot and heading for a wall. Sometime I wonder if we are heading into a "brave new world", no one seems to share emotions it's all cut off. No one dates anymore and friendships seems so fake...to easily made. Everyone walks and stares at the floor avoiding eye contact with others. Fearful that if contact occurs they would be left volnrable, no one wants to show there hand so everyone keeps the same poker face.
The style of trying to be unigue is called "draw attention to yourself" everything is marketable and the truth is something no one would like you to speak or hear. The world slowly turns away from reading and now plugs themselves in. Maybe people think reading is to slow for a fast pace world. The world wants perfection but is still an addict for self mutilation. Every night we sit and stare into the warm glow hue of the t.v. and watch the drug auction....drugs for everything even blinking can now be concidered a disease.

my head hurt

The youth around me is slowly being cut down, it seems everyone wants connection and so marriage is rapidly growing, while divorce lawyers get richer after the honeymoon. No one wants to look at who their with, no one wants to take the mask off the fantasy and see if it's still the same person or better yet if you can handle a true connection with a person. Why, does one run to marriage so quickly.....? At least look at the person before you plunge in the water with them. Still there are those would say I've known him/her for years and we've grown through the years. Well, if your stable and on your feet and fully grown on your OWN than your ready. When we're young we change constantly it's a part of growing up and that also includes the experiences life provides good or bad.

I don't know if anyone is really understanding any of this and still I type with the hope that someone can dekrypt my :blah: ranting. Anyway, I guess I can change this to a personal entry now.

At the moment my two friends are off with family and I can't see mine becuase I have to work Tuesday. One of them I've actually developed a strange but slowly growing connection, which is good because I need to close a lot of doors in my life that I've left open for too long. She tries to hard to read into me, when in all honesty the answers are right there. It's kind of funny that the best place to hide things from people is right infront of them. She's my bestest friend and one day she'll find out that I truely do care about her. My other friend is like a brother to me, one can say he is me in another deminsion. I hate being in this apartment with nothing to do, in a metro town where everything is closed and on top of that no one you know. It's a shame I've never been good at making friends....one day I'll learn.

:curtian gets pulled back to reveal king kong the audiance is distracted and with that I walk away out of sight.............and release the poor beast:

p.s......sorry for the typos

The Quiet World
by Jeffrey McDaniel

In an effort to get people to look
into each other's eyes more,
the government has decided to allot
each person exactly one hundred
and sixty-seven words, per day.

When the phone rings, I put it
to my ear without saying hello.
In the restaurant I point
at chicken noodle soup. I am
adjusting well to the new way.

Late at night, I call my long
distance lover and proudly say
I only used fifty-nine today.
I saved the rest for you.

When she doesn't respond, I know
she's used up all her words
so I slowly whisper I love you,
thirty-two and a third times.
After that, we just sit on the line
and listen to each other breathe.
