One of the people I work with, used to work with now I guess has died. He was only 23. He went camping in Canada with his father and uncle for a man's trip. The cabin they stayed in had a leaky refrigerator and they all died in their beds of propane/ carbondioxide poisoning. This was a really straight-laced, good guy. He was nice and had been with jay's for years. He was a student. I feel especially bad for his
mom, who has lost her husband and son and brother.
It's been hard to wrap my head around this. I'm having a hard time thinking about death and my own mortality. You really could go at any time. This was not someone who died drunk driving or on a motorcycle. He was just CAMPING. I love my life. I don't want to die. I don't know exactly how to make myself feel better. I definately don't feel invincable as usual, that's for damn sure.
Please buy a carbon monoxide detector. They're only like 3 bucks. Same upkeep as a fire alarm, which is next to nothing.
It seems like anything can kill you. Even all the decectors in the world can't stop fate.
