so my computer took a shit. i lost everything i had on my hard drive. my computer expert assessed that it was most likely not a virus and a result of the system overheating. my laptop sits upon my grandma's old ottoman on the floor of my room. i miss having a desk in here, sitting on the floor for hours at a time is not easy on your knees or your back. so now i have a fan under it, but no cute wallpaper, no itunes, no webcam...but that stuff will be back soon. i am just glad the damn thing still works.

normally i would frown. but, in the grand scheme of things, it's really not that bad. it forces you to streamline your life and rethink things, which can be very helpful. clearing out years of old memories that really didn't need to be remembered anymore is good. all i had other than pictures and video was my resume, but that exists all over the web. this blog is the only thing i have writen for myself personally...in many years. once upon a time, i was a writer. a poet.

i am going to be adding to this blog over the next few days. i feel like writing again...a lot


webcam is working again!

went to a fabulous show last night, "Theatre Bizarre", near the state fairgrounds. they had burlesque dancing, a reasonably good punk band, and live wrestling. i was like, "wow! clowns wrestling!" it was pretty awesome, i had never seen anything like that my sister took pics with her iphone, i hope to post some here at some point. i was accompanied by my new beau, who couldn't be more wonderful. i had been hoping to meet a guy that was a combination of the best qualities of the guys from my last three serious relationships: fun, attractive and smart. lucky for me...i seem to have met him

all i need is a good job and my life will be perfect. that's not too much to ask for, is it?
