what a fabulous weekend!
friday night could not have gone any better
the date went well. he is pretty fantastic. smart, funny...cute AND liberal. to top it off, he had an extra ticket to the michigan game the very next day. so i went home, slept for four hours, and at about 8:30 a.m., joined the tailgating on the golf course across from michigan stadium
did i mention that i had never been to a michigan football game? my first and only time in the stadium was graduation back in 2001. man, does this make me feel old
well it was great to go back, even though it was quite possibly the worst football game i have ever seen, full of interceptions and one missed fieldgoal that will forever live in infamy, at least in my mind. while it was a beautiful day to do anything outside, being unprotected and in the sun all day...gave me a wicked sunburn on my face. our seats were in the student section, which means you stand up for the whole game. so by the time it was over, i was sore and tired from no sleep. but i was in good company so it was ok.
after a short nap and three coats of aloe on my face, i went out to celebrate my friend Margaret's birthday. once i got a few drinks in my system, i was feeling much better and we sang lots of karaoke.
and yesterday, i slept in and helped my dad with some yardwork. later, me and my mom watched IronMan. what a wonderful movie!
and now i am back at work, waiting for next weekend to come
