dude...i am amazed i have made it this far in an unusually crappy week in detroit.
pistons are losing...last night especially was a heart-breaker. i just might have to take some time out of my busy summer to give ben wallace some free throw pointers
i LOVE ben, but when it comes down to a point or two, free throws are crucial!
as if that weren't bad enough...
BOTH my pool league teams were knocked out in the first round of playoffs. this makes me profoundly sad...we were so very close, but could not close the deal.
lame...fucking LAME!
hopefully this weekend will bring some improvement. it can't get much worse

Saturday ended up being the perfect day to be in Detroit, if you ask me. We spent hours in John King, introducing two new friends to it's yellow-paged majesty, one of which exclaimed "It smells like knowledge!" when we walked in the door.

There should just be a straight up hoodie shop somewhere around here, selling nothing but our zipper-fronted friends and their marsupial pocketed kin. Although, finding ways to "stay warm" in Michigan can involved quite a bit of, uh, creativity sometimes.
