20 things about me...
1. i am at work right now, i do most of my daily sg posting/surfing while at work. no one really seems to mind. i try to keep my set-viewing at home, because i don't want to turn on the old men that i work with.
2. i have one sibling who celebrates her 21st birthday today. she is awesome in all the ways that i am not, i.e. she has charitable tendencies, enjoys video games, and is not quite the heathen that i am. i remember the year she was born, i was in kindergarden and dressed up like princess Leia, good times.
3. i dated my former high school government teacher when i was 20. he had to be at least 45. i slept with him once and will remember it for the rest of my days.
4. i kicked ass at pool last night. seriously i played the best pool of my life...up till now, anyways.
5. i wear one piece of jewelry all the time, even in the shower. a medic alert bracelet. it has almost become a trademark of sorts. i also have an 8 carat pink sapphire engagement ring that i rarely wear, damn thing just gets in the way.
6. i am neither tall nor short at 5'4" but i love to wear platform shoes.
7. i have had the same haircut since i was in 6th grade.
8. i like food very plain. a list of things i will not eat includes: mayonaise
, eggs, salad dressing, fish, beer, green beans, peanuts (but i love peanut butter), and spinach.
9. i am obsessed with odd numbers. nine, thirteen, and seventy-nine.
10. i hate math, it was absolutely my worst subject in school. to get out of it in college, i took astronomy, and that, i actually enjoyed.
11. i have had something like 10 works of poetry published in small literary magazines, but haven't written ANYTHING i would call "poetry" in three years. this may coincide with the fact that i haven't read an entire book in at least that much time. i am chalking this one up to the drugs.
12. people tell me all the time that i have an especially good and professional phone voice. i suppose i should go into phone sex as a career, and not just a spare time thing.
13. graduated from the university of michigan in 2001, with a useless degree in general studies. at least i graduated.
14. i was very into music as a small child. i had my own record player in my room. i was 7 or 8 when i discovered my parents records. i put my disco duck and michael jackson right next to the white album and sticky fingers. i had an 8-track player too.
15. i have spent over $100 on ebay over the last week, on shoes, makeup and lingerie/clothes. i lurve ebay something fierce.
16. i am simply afraid to sleep alone. i need someone to be there to wake me up, just in case i am rendered unconscious by low blood sugar. ahhh the pitfalls of chronic illness
17. the "most played" song on my ipod is currently "cool n out" by joe strummer and the mescaleros. god sure baked a lot of fruitcake, baby...when adam met the eden lady. right now, though, i am listening to the sg dvd-famous "i shot william h. macy" by head automatica. yeeeaaah yeeaaaah, i put assassins in your little head. love that song.
18. i have no tattoos yet, but lots of small scars from having the chickenpox as a small child. i have scars on my forehead, and i am very self conscious about them. that may be why i have worn bangs for so darned long.
19. it may take an act of god to actually get me to move, but someday i will.
20. i have never kissed a girl before, much less had sex with one. this does not stop me from thinking about what it might be like ALL the time. a girl did happen to kiss my boob saturday night, but she was drunk and it didn't count.
making this list was not hard for me, i could probably come up with 20 more, if i had to.
