y'know, i feel bad for the tsunami victims really i do. HOwever, there is one little thing that pisses me off. yes 150,000 victims were killed in the tsunami, but America Killed 100,000 iraqi civillians... and Have you ever heard of a place called Rawanda? Over the dispute between the tootsies, and the Hutus, there has been 4 MILLION people killed.

I believe we focus on somethings and ignore others, why is that? Don't you guys find it a bit disturbing? America lives in a fucking bubble, only really confronted with the world's problems according to the dosage supplied by a media that is run by the greediest corporate fuckers in the world. No wonder terrorists want to kill Americans... when i look at it from that perspective i completely understand why.

First thing i wasnt judging you, i was merely stating that the freedoms we enjoy are only here because of the violent decisions that the US Armed forces make. Yes its a dirty job, and sometimes we do things that dont make us happy with ourselves. Its there to protect us, we lived happily until sept 11, which i believe was preventable, but we cannot change the past. As for Bush's war for oil, it isnt about oil. Yes Iraq has the most oil in the entire middle east, and if it could be harbored than we chance a huge benefit. But it isnt only America vieing for the oil in iraq. Japan, france, and germany, to name a few have their eyes on the prize. 70% of american crude oil is pulled from Alaska, and south american countries. The Oil we pull from the middle east is out of Saudi Arabia.
The WMD that people say arent here, are. We gave Iraq WMDs back in the 80s during the Iraq/Iran war. We funded Saddam husseins party during that battle, so we know they are here, cause they were once ours. Also i have seen some shit here that will turn your eyelids inside out.
Truth is id rather be in Afghanistan, caus ei believe in that fight more than this one, but we have no choice we go where we are told to go.
Now the biggest fight that is going on is called a Civil Military Operation. The idea that you catch more bees with honey than you do with with vinegar. If we win the people over to a democratic idea, and convince them not to fight, then those who do want to fight will lose their public support. Currently where i am stationed, there are over 250 seperate missions to improve the quality of life for the Iraqi People. Hopefully we will complete all of them.
I know i bore you all, but i want to set the record straight.

Yes I do agree we are under equipped and undermanned, but we are also soldiers. We are taught to make do with what we have. I mean no soldier is sent out here without the essential gear. Helmet, vest, plates for vest, Weapon and ammo. These things are being remedied, and I wish I had certain things, but nonetheless I still have to do my job. I do agree that attention should be focused more on American people than anyone else. I mean some of the things I do for the Iraqi children, I know for a fact if I were poor these things wouldnt get done for my son. But this is American foreign policy, and I am just a corporal, what do I know. I believe the homeless should be helped, and fix our literacy rates. The way the Government thinks is that if you take your eye off the world for one minute, it will stab you in the back. I kinda agree, with some things I have seen here. We will hand out book bags to children, and food to their parents, and the moment we leave they will throw rocks at our humvees. Is it right, no but thats the way it is. Thats what were trying to do is change their opinion of us, so that we can go home and fix our house. Now the rowanda thing you are talking about, is a civil war. The last time the US Military stepped into a civil war, was Mogadishu. Pardon me Haiti, I am wrong. But to the extent of Rowanda, was like Mogadishu Somalia. In 1993 we tried to stop a warlord from causing his own people from dying of famine, but what we didnt know is dont tread in the middle of someone elses civil war. Many men, Rangers and Delta were killed, and the end result was that Clinton backed us out of there, we gave up our hostages that might of stopped the killing and famine, and we left Somalia. I have a few friends that were there, and they said it was the worst thing they had ever witnessed. So we try not to jump into civil wars, you cannot take a side when its the same country fighting over itself. Now the billions of dollars we gave to the people of Thailand were for 2 reasons. One when they get back on their feet, hopefully they wont forget who helped them, hence another Allie. Secondly, the world can see we try to help those in need. Its called Humanitarian Assistance. I know my opinions may seem one sided, but I have to believe in the fight, or I may forget why I am fighting.
