I didnt go to the predator control job last week. I was packed, had the truck running, got in the truck and thought about it - 4 hour drive to Montreal, fly to Calgary, airports, rental car, drive 3 hours to south alberta, another hotel room. Fuck that. I'm tired of adventure, travelling, airports and hotel rooms.
So I spent the whole week just relaxing at home. It was great.
A teammate of mine is being buried at Arlington today. He survived when the helicopter crashed but not really. He was completely burned over most of his body. His family should have took him off life support but chose not to... so six months later he passed away from infection. Its for the best because his quality of life would have sucked. All my friends are going to the funeral but for me they just arent healthy mentally. Funerals are for the living and not for the dead.
But not a negative note...
Man I love my life! You know how sometimes you just feel happy from the inside out? Well that is how I feel. I've got a good life. I like to think I earned it and made it this way by design but it doesnt change this..... 
The wife and I watch Big Love every Sunday. I keep telling her we should be bigamists and I can have more wives but she isnt buying it LOL But, today is March so it is officially our first anniversary. We dont know the actual day we were married because we got married while we were both in Iraq and did a double proxy marriage through the state of Montana (Montana you rock!) so all we did was mail in the paperwork and a few weeks later it came back. So we decided that instead of having an actually anniversary day it is just going to be 'sometime' in March.
For our first anniversary she is getting collared. We had a really fancy subtle collar made that goes on permanently. She cant take it off without tools. She is really excited about it. And she wants to go to Montreal or NYC to swing. Any takers? She just doesnt want to do it locally.
