Day Four Overwatch
I woke the next morning to hear the daughter opening the stable doors. I scanned the lodge grounds and no vehicles had returned while I slept. The daughter rode out of the stable on a large gorgeous chestnut colored horse, a rifle slung to her back, her long brunette hair tied in a pony tail. Through my scope I could see a concerned, determined look on her face; much more mature then her fifteen or sixteen year old features should have. She rode down the road in the same direction her entire family had left. And that was the last I saw of her. I like to think she made it to a neighbors house safely.
I stayed in overwatch until the next morning. I never saw the teenage girl again. No one returned to the house.
