Found out on Tuesday that my last day at work will be June 30th. They are pretty much going bankrupt and have let go of almost 90% of their staff over the last year and a half... so I'm actually quite relieved.
Not 2 minutes after hearing this news I hit up AIASF.org's job board and found an opportunity to do pretty much exactly what I've been doing the last 5 years, yet even better. Is this a sign? Meant to be? The kick in the ass I've always need to jump start my life again? I think so. The one thing holding me back from moving back to the Bay was having a good career here. Now it's no longer in the way and I have an even better opportunity out west.
I'm 33 years old, soon to be unemployed, and couldn't be happier about that fact.
