you cut into me with one word..
you break me in two with that voice..
everytime i put myself back together i leave a piece behind..
the devils laugh when i still act surprised..
the angels look away when i fall to my knees..
i have become what no one else can see..
i live in shadow..
in search of new light..
the flicker of a chance keeps me going..
i'm afraid to move too fast..
the flame of hope is so fragile..
instead i slowly crawl to someone i do not know..
does this make me less of a man?
