Lets take a moment to talk about Brandon Sanderson.
He is by far my favourite author, everything he writes is amazing, the characters hit me on a personal level, and truly I believe no one else compares! (That I know of) And I feel like I have said this so many times but SERIOUSLY if you have not read any of his books you need to get on it NOW.
The first books by Brandon I ever read was the Mistborn trilogy. None of his stories are your average fantasy stories and that’s what I love about them. The heroes are so much more than your average heroes.
The main character in this trilogy, Vin, starts the story as truly shy and timid. She ends up growing within herself from all the friends she makes along her journey. She becomes this amazing person, who still has a long way to go but never gives up. Her powers grow, and grow and she becomes this amazingly gifted Mistborn.
Vin is me. I am Vin. I felt like I related so much to this character, I used it as my name. (She becomes Vin Venture through the story) VINTURE.
The story is mainly about a group of lowly servants and thieves who come together to overthrow the evil Lord Ruler, and restore the world to what it was before. There is more than one type of magic in there. There’s not only sparks of emotional magic, but there is the physical and the characteristics of the characters! It’s all magic to me.
