Seven is a mystical number. It signifies mysteries of the spirit. Pythagoras believed seven to be the number of crisis. Perhaps that is why there is the so=called Seven year itch.

Well Seven years and one week later, my skin is still itch free. Yes, seven years. 31% of my life. Walter and I met when we were fourteen. . In a theater arts game. Mirror. And starring in those bluegray eyes I found a Mirror a male counterpart, missing puzzle pieces, best friend and a perfect lover. All these passions and inevitability would stew for a year , and as cliche as the fireworks that surround our anniversary date, boom.

He is the morphine of my heart, a euphoric addition- need -sustiance, our slightly disturbing (but wonderful) co dependancy is far more addictive than nicotine, or candies.. At times I can feel like Lucrica Borgia, the thrill of an incestuous relationship, for we are as close as brother and sister, but it is more than that, we are one person, the conjunction of opposites, red rose meets white rose, we are the androgyne of alchemist lure.

The hermaphrodite, like a dead man in the darkness, needs Fire
and do we have our fire, our music, art and theater. Our ambition knits us even tighter, we recognized our focused desires as children, an as adults we bound after them head hunters and archaeologist and kittens after string.

Ill love him till like dry raisons we dissolve to dust, and longer still as my energies dissipate and flow back to trees and winds and rocks there will always be a echo, Walter...Walter my love...
~MARY~

*** "The fulfilment symbolised by the androgyne is also expressed by the "rose". in all traditions of magic, as in dreams also, the rose symbolises the achievment of the self, and the blossoming of the personality. pg 125 "Pictoral Hstory of the Supernatural" MAurice Bessy 1961
