I had reiki yesterday (kindly provided by the same NHS Trust that pays my wage SALARY), and at the end of the session the woman asked if I was with child. I said, "no."

I said, "NO!"

"Haha, ok," she said gently, and touched my arm.

I think I am pregnant in some metaphorical sense though. Last week the Psychology-man suggested, in all seriousness, that I get a job at Spearmint Rhino. I hadn't told him that was something I'd considered previously. He was surprised when I told him that dancers have to pay a house fee to the club and so there are nights when you end up out of pocket. Anyway I'd been saying that I need to make a radical change to my circumstances. Totally change my reality. Options have been:

* Move abroad (but I'd only end up doing the same type of job over there as I'm doing here, so what's the point in that?)
* Go travelling whilst not working or working sporadically (no money).
* Start a full-time Masters in a different city (no money).

Presumably, I said, the above are just fear-based excuses, and those who actually want to do it, do.
That was when he suggested Spearmint Rhino.

The Book is going very well, though a little slower than I'd like it to.

I know a few folk round here have been feeling it particularly keenly lately. The times, they need to change.

Where to start?
