Zany weekend! I guess those of you who were there already know, and those who weren't don't care. But it was a wonderful meet; happy times. smile

I may have had to endure the longest coach journey in history, but at least I got to see interesting places. Like Harrogate. We drove through Harrogate twice because of the one-way system so the second time I had chance to check that I had indeed seen a fast food joint called Bambinos, selling "Yorkshire-style Fried Chicken." I loved it!

So having not been so much as shortlisted for an entry-level, 14k job with a small local fiction publisher (I rang them up to ask them what they were playing at; they went for people with, like, Masters degrees in Literature), it's all systems go-go-go with a little magazine project I've got in mind. Adverts are out now on a social networking site near you.

Oh! Creamy kindly reminded me to clarify on a previous point of note: my dating status. I started seeing the dude again but kept it quiet for fear it might be quite short-lived. Well, after nearly 6 months I thought it might be safe to drop a little post on here. The following week we entered a probationary period and he finished with me two weeks after that. biggrin In the immediate few days post-dumping, I felt happier than I had done in ages - because the fear was removed - but I hadn't settled in yet for the long haul of missing him.

It fucking pisses me off that I can't in good taste or conscience really publish anything I've written about him - because he's been the subject of all the best stuff I've written in over a year. whatever
