Do you think the phrase, "I want to be left alone" is too negative an opening for a novel? What about, "I want to be left alone, but constant company has been foisted upon me" ?

Sadly I don't think i'll be able to make it to Bristol i'm afraid, i start my new job this week and I doubt they'd be happy with me taking time off already! I hope you have loads of fun though! X
