Breaking news! Billy Elliot The Musical: better than you'd think!
This boy just takes your breath away, serious like. He is a sensation, a joy to be in the same building as. I'm on about Liam Mower, the youngest of the original three boys who played Billy, and the only one who hasn't had to leave due to the breaking of the voice yet. He grew up within 20 miles of where I did, which is nice. In case you're wondering, they don't only do ballet in Billy Elliot. As much of the dancing is jazz, tap and some other random contemporary/disco conceptual amalgamations, choreographed such that one number contains numerous different styles. Anyway, there are four Billys at present, and I'm sure they're all excellent, but I'm equally sure that Mr Mower won't be around much longer, so you'd better hurry.
Anyway, on Saturday Carmady, our maternal parent and I took ahhfternoon tea at the Dorchester, where the staff don't actually speak like that because they are mostly from Eastern Europe. Then we went on a Jack the Ripper walk around Whitechapel. Did you know there's a Harry Potter walk around London? 'Pparently you get to see the real Diagon Alley and the entrance to the Ministry for Magic. *shrug*
I have new clothes - hypnotherapist wear. I would love to post some pictures for you, but once again I overestimated my powers of self-photography, and I looked like a goon in all the images I took. So tough shit.
I'm unemployed again this week. There are advantages to this situation: those being that I may spend my days scribbling stories and even finish the painting that's sat half-finished in my room for eight months. For the next two weeks I'll be fucking up the body clock with a daily shift from 1-9pm. Then it's away to East Yorkshire for a whole week while my parents are away, guarding the house from countryside bandits and sitting my sweet precious catkins.
So while I'm doing all that, what will you be doing?
