Write down three true facts, and one lie. Don't tell us which one is the lie.
So I can see that no-one else is going to play this game with me. For the three people who did, then, these are the answers. (I noticed no-one was brave enough to say hell, aint no way you worked as a model! You charmers. wink )

I had a short story published when I was eleven.
Indeed I did. I wrote a story called The Dare and it was printed in some hoity-toity magazine called PEN.

When I was 18, I also went down to London to meet up with a literary agent. But thats another story.

I have danced in the professional ballet.
Yes indeed. Where ma famille and I used to live until I was seven, there also used to live an old woman who ran a ballet school. Bearing in mind that I was little at the time, when I say I remember her as a shrivelled old maid, this probably means she was forty. Every two years she organised a ballet, which took place at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford. And every single one of her pupils, right down to the five year olds, had to have a part. I danced in the role of a snowflake in Swan Lake, and I appeared in The Water Babies, for which I danced the part of third yellow fish on the left.

I have worked as a catwalk and photographic model
Yup. In a manner of speaking. That is to say, my Mum used to have a childrens wear shop, and I used to do modelling for her. Me and a bunch of other local kids did do some proper professional fashion shows and all, but I wasnt, like, getting paid for it or anything. On one particular occasion a dude came to take pictures of me for the York Evening Press, and the photoshoot took place in a graveyard. A natural preamble for my SG endeavours, then. One of the pictures that resulted was blown up into several large prints, distributed around relatives, and to this day my frizzy-haired, gopher-toothed face graces the landing wall at my parents house. Le cringe.

I had a walk-on part in a film starring Ewan McGregor.
This I did not. When I was 15, the cast and crew of Little Voice came to North Yorkshire to film. Some friends and I snuck out of school and hopped on a train to Scarborough to attend the open audition for extras. None of us got picked, but hell, we still had a better day than our classmates. We ate chips on the sea front and got attacked by seagulls, and life felt good.

I declare Stew the winner!

Well, I'm enjoying my extended holiday, although my bank balance says, "you really do need to go back to work, you know." Bollocks.

Rawsmeister and I are going to Dublin next month! Just booked flights from the Brum airport. 99p each way, it's all good.
