Yesterday was the Strawberry Faire at the local college... at first it was cool, all the crafts and such, then people could be heard complaining about the weather (cold and damp) even though it never really rained... I figure, if you wake up in the morning, then, no matter what the weather, it has to be a good morning...
The little red-haired dude hung in there as best he could... when a little three year old grabbed at him, that was sort of the last straw... the little linoleum lizzard's mom, looked at me like; "... what's the matter?" I kindly explained that if it had been another dog, the little curtain crawler would have been bit... she just gave me that deer in the headlights stare... so we headed home.
After I toweled him off and fed him, I wandered back on my own... ran into an orginization (drum and pipes) affiliated with St. Andrews... so, now Monday nights I am going off to practice with the band... I am even considering learning bagpipes... must be the Irish in me. The only criteria for joining... cop or military, and I qualified both... doesnt hurt that I can play drums either...
1.) Do you, or have you, played in a band? What instrument?
2.) Are bagpipes effin cool or noisy POS?
3.) Are kilts effin sexy or effin disgusting?

Never played in a band. Tried to learn trumbone in 4th grade, quit after 2 months of failure. In 8th grade tried to follow the family tradition of learning the piano, and while I can still play the opening to "The Entertainer" (from the movie The Sting) I gave that up after a year... Bagpipes are cool when played by people serious about playing them, otherwise they are effin noisy POS. Kilts are sexy, especially on women. Some men don't look right in them, and I reserve to right not to comment further on that subject.
BTW - While I have and will continue to state that "I hate my life," I know that my life is better than many others. It's my moniker, my catch phrase. I do hate portions of my life, I'm sure everybody does hate some portion of their own lives to some extent. Since starting my journals, I've come to view the phrase as therapeutic.
And dude, I wasn't insulting you in theta's journal. I was insulting god. Sorry for the confusion.
