... you can feel death in the air... those beady little eyes watching you approach... the notorious grey squirrel gang is out in force...
... I slowly reach down and unsnap the leash... he raises his head, mouth slightly gaped, sensing the air, tasting their presence... suddenly, he springs in to action...
... the three on the left, desperately trying to draw their weapons, in frustration they scatter each to his own tree of security... the flying red blur at one tree then the next... with paws on the trunk of the last tree he notices the threat from the right... he leaps and dodges, the bullet striking the bark where once he stood... speed that blows the mind he is in their midst before a second shot could be fired... and the confusion of grey tails and that red blur...
... yep, we love our morning walks through the college campus....
