Another work week come and gone... what was I so worried about... I mean, it's only a job?
I road by the different churches in this area... all competing for my business. Billboards outside with little ditties inviting my inside. Had I become that Catholic Priest my mother would have been proud of, I wonder what ditties I would have been inspired to place out on the church billboard? It is Easter... how is old Mel G. is feeling these days?
I dont think it is synicism... I just think that The Lord would be saddened at the commercialistic approach his teachings have taken... I am sure there are money changers here that would be driven from the Temple.
Must remember to get quarters for the laundry...
Happy Easter all... watch out for too many Cadbury Eggs... and let's remember why there is an Easter. So we can watch cute farm animals compete for the title role...

isn't it amazing how the churches compete for attendents with slogans? there are soooo many churches that do that around here ~ some change their sign every day!! its hard to know if i should worship or fill my gas tank. yeesh. i agree with you ~ jesus would be rather disgusted by such displays. in fact, he would probably be REJECTED from most churches altogether.
so, yr a catholic too, huh? catholic don't wash out. i still love ritual, and sort of want to go to a mass today, but probably won't ... or maybe i will. hmmmm.

dont ya just love the eyes on my cat? The third picture is really really blue, like a deep blue. They usually dont look that blue, they are more of a crystal blue color. Maybe it was the way the camera hit the eyes or a reflection of something.
I live in a very muslim area of chicago ... there arent any churches around here that arent muslim like, whatever their religion is, I forget.
