Hope everyone enjoyed V-day and/or Presidents day.

I have some strong opinions about holidays in general. I don't like any holiday that expects you to do a certain thing like have a romantic day, visit certain relatives, eat certain foods etc. What good is a holiday if it only replaces one thing you have to do like work or school with something else that you...

Holidays for me are purely "business". We don't really do the typical "holiday things" either. I like to use them for down time...and drinking. biggrin
Sounds like you had the ideal V-Day. I was on my 2nd 14-15 hour day in a row...But, man, business rocked!!!
If I see Wayne, I'll give him a squeeze just for you! wink
galvagin:
Ah, but a holiday with no structure gives you nothing to subvert... wink

Tangents (or, as one of my advisors likes to put it, "little philosophical adventures") can be fun for both the writer and the reader... but as my funding is being cut come May, I think it's time for me to get to the point. I can break new rhetorical ground when I have a fucking *job*. mad

It was great to meet you too man. The show was rad, I only wish I were a bit taller.

Actually, Cake is a very underappreciated band -- all those albums -- and still, it's not really "cool" to like Cake because they did a bad cover of "I will Survive". After that, despite how creative they are, noone really jumped back on the Cake-wagon. But we know better. wink

And Radiohead -- can't argue with you there -- they're about as experimental as mainstream artists can get.

As far as the recording goes, yeah, I'm going into the studio for my solo project, Multi, in March. I record at home by myself as well, but I wanted to bring in other musicians for the studio EP -- most of them from the band Rockbot . I also might be joining that band if their chick singer doesn't shape up. They've got alternating girl/guy vocals (in the tradition of the Rentals if you know anything about them). It might be fun, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Multi is my main focus right now. I will have to let you hear stuff someday though. smile Cheers.

I don't remember the drive back -- slept like a baby. I do, however, remember getting home and spending about 30 minutes trying to get that damn corset off. whatever How was the walk? Did you manage to avoid getting hit by another car? wink

Hey, there. It was very nice to meet you! How's the wrist? Did you go to the hospital...file that police report? Dude, you are hardcore...not even a moving vehicle can stand between you and a good time! biggrin

So today was a snow day for me but lo and behold, no email, no call, no nothin'. Just the fun of walking half an hour in the snow only to find out that I'm a sucker. I don't mind though as I turned right around and came back home. biggrin

Keep it comin' God, I could use the vacation!

So I was going to go to a show Friday, and this morning I get online to buy a ticket, and lo and behold, SOLD OUT. Fuck.

I'm still going to go and try and score a ticket outside the show, but this really increases the pain in my ass factor, as well as precluding some of my lazier less dedicated friends from going with...

I actually prefer Seven More Minutes, but I thought I'd give The Return of... a listen tonight.
rskapcat74529:
Yep, I gave up. I thought about taking the time to defend myself, but I realized it wasn't worth the effort.

I am sooooo fucking tired of being sick mad . Sure I get to be lazy and not feel bad about it, but damn I'm miserable and bored of my ass. Hopefully I'll be better tomorrow.
